Background & History

The Charlotte Hornets are one of the NBA's most culturally distinct franchises — a team that built its identity not on championships, but on personality, color, and an electric connection with its city. Founded in 1988 as one of the league's first major expansion teams, Charlotte took the NBA by storm immediately. The original Hornets sold out every home game for their first several seasons, setting attendance records and proving that the South was hungry for professional basketball. The teal and purple colorway — bold, unconventional, and unlike anything else in sports — became one of the best-selling jersey combinations in league history. In 2004, the franchise relocated to New Orleans, leaving Charlotte without a team. But the city fought back. In 2014, the Bobcats officially reclaimed the Hornets name, restoring the identity that Charlotte had never stopped claiming as its own. Step 2 — Sourcing: Mr. Lee locates the right pair for your build. Once secured, we send you photos so you can see the exact sneakers before they ship to us. Step 3 — In Transit to Our Shop Shipping to our shop typically takes about two weeks once the pair is secured. Customs can occasionally slow things down, but we'll update you whenever we have news. Step 4 — QC & Final Photos. Once the sneakers arrive, we do a full quality check. If everything looks great in person, we take fresh photos and send them to you before boxing them up.
