029 — Jordan 1 High “Blue the Great” — Design‑Inspired

Description

This design‑inspired AJ1 build features a multicolor suede upper with corduroy and chenille accents, mirroring the bold, art‑driven construction of the Blue the Great “Fearless” release. Rich blue suede wraps the toe and forefoot, while red, yellow, green, and cream suede overlays create the signature multicolor blocking.

A black chenille Swoosh adds texture and contrast, paired with an embroidered Wings logo and the recognizable multicolor circular heel patch. The mesh tongue with exposed‑foam edge stays true to the AJ1 SE construction style, while the sail midsole and black outsole complete the palette.

All enhancements are finished in‑house using Angelus paints where needed and Cricut permanent vinyl for clean, durable detailing.

Story / Inspiration

Inspired by the Blue the Great × Jordan 1 “Fearless”, a 2019 collaboration celebrating artists who brought new creative perspectives to the Jordan legacy. Blue the Great — known for his bold color blocking, mural work, and textured art style — infused the original pair with suede, corduroy, chenille, and multicolor storytelling.

SRR’s design‑inspired version captures the material mix, vibrant palette, and art‑forward personality of the original while maintaining originality and avoiding any claims of retail authenticity.
