The Air Max 90 "University Blue" is a three-shade blue execution of the AM90's classic multi-panel construction — white mesh base, powder/baby blue leather overlays, steel blue lateral panels, and a dark navy Swoosh anchoring the palette. No single dominant color: three distinct blues working across the AM90's panel structure, each reading differently depending on the light and angle. White woven mesh runs the forefoot and midfoot panels — the clean white base that separates and highlights the three blue shades across the upper. Powder/baby blue smooth leather overlays the toe box and medial quarter panels — the softest, lightest blue in the palette, smooth and clean against the white mesh. Medium steel/cornflower blue smooth leather wraps the large lateral quarter panel, heel counter surround, and lower lateral sections — the mid-tone blue that bridges the light overlay panels and the dark Swoosh. A dark navy Swoosh sits on the lateral side, the deepest shade in the colorway and the primary contrast detail against the lighter blue panels — clearly deeper than the steel blue at every angle.
