This Tribute Build pays homage to the Air AJ 4 "Alternate 89," released in 2016 as part of a series that brought Tinker Hatfield’s alternate colorway sketches to life. The original pair reimagined the Fire Red theme with red mesh and red structural elements — creating a bold, player-exclusive-style look that stood apart from traditional retro releases.

The "Alternate 89" name references the original 1989 Air AJ 4 design language, filtered through a what-if lens: what if the colorway had gone bolder from the start? This build answers that question.
